RENTAL TERMS
Renter Requirements
To rent a vehicle, the renter must:
- Be between 23 and 70 years of age and hold a driver's license that was issued at least one year prior.
- Possess a valid driver's license that is either Greek, European (for EU countries), or International (for non-EU countries).
Vehicle Pickup
- At the time of vehicle pickup, the renter must present a valid driver's license. The car must be returned with the same amount of fuel as when it was picked up; otherwise, the renter will be charged for the additional fuel according to the current price.
- Upon vehicle pickup, the renter will receive the Rental Agreement, which will include the services and insurance provided, as well as any additional services selected, along with the corresponding charges. It is essential for the renter to carefully inspect the vehicle for any pre-existing damages and report them to avoid being held responsible for them upon returning the vehicle. Finally, the renter will sign the pickup and return documents that will certify the condition of the vehicle.
Insurance Coverages
- Collision Damage Waiver (C.D.W.):The renter can reduce their liability for vehicle damages to an amount starting from 650 euros or more, provided that the damage was not caused by a violation of the Traffic Code.
- Super Collision Damage Waiver (S.C.D.W.):For full exemption from liability for damages, an additional amount of €30 per day is required. Note that neither of the above coverages applies to damages caused by violations of the Traffic Code, or damages to tires, mirrors, lights, the underside of the vehicle, and the vehicle's interior.
Vehicle Return
- If the vehicle is returned one hour after the agreed time, there will be an additional charge.
Additional Charges
- Accident file handling fee: In the event of an accident caused by the renter, they will be charged with the non-refundable file handling fee.
- Violation handling fee: The renter is responsible for paying fines resulting from Traffic Code violations during the rental period. If the fines are not paid and the company must intervene, an additional fee of €20 will apply.
- License plate removal: If the license plates are removed during the rental period, the renter will continue to be charged until the license plates are returned.
- Loss or damage to keys: The renter will be charged for the cost of replacing the keys in the event of loss or damage.
Cancellations and No-Show
- If the renter does not pick up the vehicle on the agreed date and time without notifying the company in writing or by phone, the company will cancel the reservation after two hours.
Transportation by Ferry
- It is forbidden to transport the vehicle outside of Kefalonia.
Rental Extension
- If the renter wishes to extend the rental period, they must contact the company in writing so that a new Rental Agreement can be drawn up.
Payment Methods
- Payment can be made in cash or via debit/credit card.
VAT and Taxes
- All the above prices include VAT of 24% and all applicable taxes.
Modification of Terms
- Prices and rental terms may change without prior notice.
Jurisdiction
- The competent courts for resolving disputes are the Greek Courts.
All administrative penalties and fines are the sole responsibility of the renter.
